Climate art and COP27

I have been kept out of mischief for a couple of weeks now with this artwork. It isn’t yet finished (not sure what project to move on to next when it is), but it is in the final stages. Several hours a day and two audiobooks listened to (The Call of the Wild, Jack London; Captain Corelli’s Mandolin, Louis de Bernieres), it has kept me in a reflective mood about many things: nature, ethics, the world beyond our doorsteps.

As COP27 gets going, and brave Just Stop Oil protesters act, utterly selflessly, to wake everyone up, I hope that my insignificant artworks can be a reminder that this planet is worth fighting for.

I don’t have any art ideas that are actually worthy of the task ahead, but I really wish I did.
