World of Colour Pencils Art Exhibition, at the Pencil Museum, Keswick

Alongside the work of some phenomenally talented colour pencil artists, I have an artwork of my own currently on display at the Derwent Museum in Keswick, which, as far as museums go, is definitely one of my favourites!

The exhibition, organised by and for members of the UK Colour Pencil Society, is running from 4 September to 29 October 2022, and is well worth a visit!

My artwork is called “A little windswept”, and features three exmoor ponies which I photographed on a walk to the top of their hill (corbett?!) in Lothian, Scotland – Traprain Law. The hill is an ancient, unerupted lava dome, and has a man-made (iron-age, if I remember correctly) pool at its peak. Coupled with the far-reaching views all around, this makes for a very ethereal location. The ponies were gorgeous and it was lovely to walk through a herd of them happily grazing.

“A little windswept” is framed and for sale for £110 plus postage, contact me if interested!
